When I started the program I was a mess really! I had constipation and diarrhoea, was confused about what to eat, had bloating, reflux, brain fog, and unable to eat many foods. After reading an article on PMS and histamine I knew that I was a candidate for HIT. I needed an eating plan, supplements, and gut health assessment as was given incorrect treatment previously. Was having histamine attacks mainly at night and awful PMS. I was also was having foods before this that were high in histamine coupled with stress.
After working with Luanne for a few months I have less bloating, less reflux, more energy, less pain during periods, and less anxiety (fewer histamine attacks). I also had better energy levels, eating a more balanced and yummy diet for gut health, weight loss, and knowledge of managing my histamine levels.

Before I started I had a huge fear of foods. Digestion and food issues controlled my thoughts, I was scared of symptoms, skin and inflammation flare ups. Unsure what I could and couldn’t eat to recover from sibo and new to MCAS, I was not sure what to do. Now I am more confident and much more relaxed about food. I have less rashes and laryngitis, less reactions comparatively. Getting back an enjoyment in food! I am aware of brain patterns in general and it’s role in my condition. If I hadn’t joined the Happy Without Histamine Method I would still struggling with the diet, symptoms and where and what I could do. I would not know that stress and the brain play a big part in mcas. The MAP sessions are really helpful. The main issues I had were insomnia, avoiding many foods, and confusion about what to eat and how to approach the causes of histamine intolerance vs managing symptoms. I was also confused to some degree about what was the underlying cause. I had tried treatment previously, told I would have to eat low histamine forever, and been getting worse for 12 months, so I would have probably kept getting worse if I had not started working with Luanne.
Now I don’t have insomnia, I can drink wine and eat high histamine foods again. I only avoid a very small list of foods and these are mostly for health reasons, not histamine, I have a good undertaking of histamine insolence, the causes, and treatments, and see the clear relationship between the nervous system and histamine intolerance. I also generally have a healthier relationship with food, I am re-discovering a love of cooking and improved my general health and wellbeing as well.

I wish I took photos but I was so depressed and disgusted with my skin that I would have been devastated to sit there and look at them. Already a psoriasis sufferer, I also filled my histamine bucket up till it was way over full. So I broke out in hives and felt so bloated and puffy. I was exhausted from lack of sleep because I was waking up all night itching from head to toe. And I was always light headed. Before I started the happy without histamine method I had constant burping after eating, reflux, bloating and I was very anxious around eating. After finishing I no longer have bloating, hardly any reflux, less burping and can eat most foods without symptoms. Also my mental state improved with the brain retraining and I have new tools to manage stress and health setbacks. I met all the goals I had when I started and them some. If I hadn’t started the program I would still be trying things that didn’t work. I am just so glad I did the program!

Well on the physical level probably mostly because of happy without histamines I’ve
experienced: IBS symptoms are almost none existent, my ears are no longer itching and
extremely inflamed, my throat is not swelling randomly after meals that normally had been fine,
seasonal allergies are much better. Plus my wife and I enjoy the food!
Gupta program: I was having depression, anxiety and severe anger outbursts followed by several
days of sleep. All of which are substantially better. I’m more optimistic and trust in the program.

When I started the HWH Method I was constipated, and avoiding lots of foods. I felt toxic all over, headaches, brain fog, lacking energy, bloated, not sure which foods I should be eating and which I should be eating more of. Frustrated and unsure as to how to proceed. Before I started working with Luanne I was struggling with eating the same thing each week and had bloating, some constipation, muscle and joint pain, itchy skin, and headaches. After a few months I had new recipes and meals to make to give me more variety. My headaches and itchy skin were much less frequent and I had less bloating and pain. I felt like I could actually heal from this histamine intolerance. I also had new strategies I could use to calm my mind and body and help my body heal. Before starting the program I had chronic constipation, reflux, pretty bad migraines and headaches, and the list of foods I could tolerate was very short. I was anxious and on edge, my body ached everywhere, had trouble digesting meals, the occasional seizure-like attack, and generally felt unsafe in my own body. I was also having frequent reactions to food and environmental triggers, like palpitations, vomiting, and even anaphylaxis. Going out could make me sick for a whole day and as if I got a cold just for being exposed to a cool breeze. This is a summarized list of all the things I was experiencing before starting the HWH Method. I didn’t know how my condition could improve, I was overwhelmed.
After I completed the program All of my symptoms improved drastically, and some, like being in a constant state of anxiety, even faded away. My digestive system is starting to work as it should. The reflux got better. I am more resilient, and my MCAS triggers don’t affect me nearly as much as they did in the past. Reactions like vomiting became rare, and the pain I experience nowadays, although still present, is more localized instead of widespread. I’m able to introduce new ingredients without having panic attacks. Sometimes I get a little nervous when I’m trying new foods because overcoming triggers is a process, but I’m not terrified of it like I used to be. I have more physical energy, and I can even walk long distances without having to ‘pay’ for it afterward. I don’t need my face mask as much when I’m outside.
My skin is glowing these days, and my natural skin color came back (it used to look sickly and be quite dry). The outbreaks are getting better as well.
I enjoy the act of eating much more. I am definitely more confident and not driven by fear. My hair loss improved, too. I don’t depend on laxatives to use the toilet anymore. My periods are gradually becoming more manageable.
I joined the program hoping it could help me feel better and restructure my low histamine diet but honestly didn’t know how it was gonna work. It exceeded my expectations, by a lot. I went from feeling awful in every way to building up tolerance and strength in a matter of a few months. This method really has everything one needs to begin to truly heal. I am more knowledgeable about my condition and at the same time no longer focus on the negative or scary aspects of it. I feel much safer in my body; and even though I still have important steps to revert everything ahead of me, it’s given me the confidence that being healthy is achievable for me, not a distant dream or a fantasy.
